My October Favorites

October was an amazing month for me, I enjoyed the brisk weather and made amazing memories with my friends and family! Whether it was going for a morning jog and looking at the golden autumn leaves or watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Halloween night with my Dad, it was definitely an October that I will treasure in my heart.

When I think of the month October, I think of eerie, spooky things. Here are my favorite products that I enjoyed this month:

The C.S. Lewis Bible- C.S. Lewis is a childhood favorite of mine, my Mother used to read me his “Narnia” series and enlighten me on the religious symbolism throughout the book. I bought this bible at the beginning of October and have found that Lewis’ works combined with biblical passages have helped open my eyes to God and Christ more than ever. I’ve found this bible addicting to read and extremely thought provoking.

Spooky Book:

And Then There Were None- Agatha Christie- This book has been a favorite of mine since 8th grade. I reread it this month and it is even better than I could’ve ever remembered. I don’t want to give anything away but it’s a twisted, disturbing tale that any lover of mystery books should read.

Ben Howard- Every Kingdom- It’s by no means a new album, but “Every Kingdom” Is my ideal sound of October. It reminds me of being in the woods, it’s earthy, delightful and makes me want to go for a car ride with my dog, Sammy. I would recommend this album to anyone who hasn’t had the chance to listen to the delightful voice of Ben Howard.

Spooky Music:

Little Mix- Black Magic- This song is the right mixture of haunting and pop. It’s fun, fresh and reminds me of a grown up version of a Disney Channel song! My friends and I listened to this all of October, it’s perfect for the season.

TV Shows (Both Spooky):

Scream Queens- This show is amazing. It’s creepy, weird and girly at the same time. It’s Mean Girls meets Scream and somehow, it works. I love everything about this show: the style of the characters, the morbid humor and pop outs!

Even Scarier:

American Horror Story Hotel- This show is amazing, I’ve watched each season of American Horror Story live and I love them all. This one is extremely dark and gory, Lady Gaga is absolutely breath taking in it. However, I would only recommend it to people who enjoy twisted shows and movies, as there are many over the top scenes that make me cringe (and not in a good way).

Booda Butter- This has been my favorite beauty product for the month of October, as it gets chilly, my skin can easily get dry or chapped. This lotion is thick and protects my skin during these windy days. It smells like chocolate cake and is made with non GMO, vegan products. You know that it’s a good product when you recognize all of the ingredients.

Everything Burgundy:

The lipstick Rebel by Mac and the nail polish, Malaga Wine by OPI are my favorite colors to wear this season! They are both warm and beautiful. The nail polish is currently the only one that I wear and the lipstick is my go to for a night out!

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter- I love Trader Joe’s “Cookie Butter” during all seasons. This pumpkin pie butter is perfect for fall! It tastes like pumpkin pie filling in a jar with cookie crumbles throughout. It’s so addicting and delicious, I put it on my morning toast or just by the spoonful!

Free People- “Sweet Thang Printed Tunic”- I purchased this tunic in my recent trip home and I love it! It’s so breezy and perfect for fall! I feel like a princess in it!

Cha “Lush Two Piece”- I got this set on sale at “Cha” while I was at home for fall break and I can’t wait to wear it! It reminds me of Cher from Clueless! When I wear it I feel polished, chic and comfortable!

I hope that everyone had a fantastic October! Take a day for yourself to sit back, enjoy the leaves before they fall, breath in the fall air before it gets too cold, and spend time with your loved ones by the fire! Thank you so much for helping me reach 10 followers on this blog, I am so thankful that people are taking the time to read!
